Historic match for Málaga CF at the Do Dragao against FC Porto

Málaga Club de Fútbol has a date with history on Tuesday 19th February, as the Blue and Whites take on FC Porto at the Do Dragao, in the first leg UEFA Champions League last 16 match.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men will leave for Porto on Monday on a charter flight departing at 12 p.m. (local time).  Accompanied by more than 2,500 fans in Portugal, the Blue and Whites will undergo the last official training session at the Do Dragao.
 
Tomorrow, Monday 18th February at 12 p.m., the group will travel to Portugal on an Air Europa charter flight, arriving at Porto’s Francisco Sa Carneiro airport at 12:35 p.m. (local time).  On arrival, Manuel Pellegrini’s team will be taken to the Hotel Porto Palacio Congress, and will later undergo an official training session at the Do Dragao Stadium at 7 p.m.  Half an hour before at 6:30 p.m., both Manuel Pellegrini and Sergio Paulo Barbosa ‘Duda’ will undergo a press conference in the FC Porto stadium’s press room.
 
Accompanying the team, led by Club Vice-President Moayad Shatat are Advisers Francisco Martín Aguilar and Abdallah Ben Barek; General Manager Vicente Casado; Assistant General Manager Manuel Novo and Sports Director Mario Armando Husillos.  Along with Club representatives, members of Málaga society will also be travelling to Portugal.

Fans’ Journey
As in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League, the fans are passionately supporting the Blue and Whites.  Over 2,500 loyal followers are travelling to Portugal on various modes of transport:

- Flights organised by the Club and Halcón Viajes (Two the day before, and one on match-day).
- 27 organised coaches, including the ‘Peñas Malaguistas’.
- Almost 1,000 fans who are travelling to Portugal by their own means (flights, own vehicles etc.)

Important Note:  Following instructions from the Portuguese police and UEFA, Málaga CF would like to notify all Blue and Whites’ fans that FC Porto are not releasing match tickets for sale at the Do Dragao stadium, therefore fans cannot be certain of obtaining a ticket for the last 16 UEFA Champions League match on 19th February if they travel to Porto without one. For safety reasons, the Club recommends that ‘Malaguista’ fans don’t travel to Porto if they don’t have a ticket for the match.
 
In order to follow police guidelines and to avoid any incidents around the stadium, fans travelling to Porto via coach should follow these directions:

Arrival in Porto on Tuesday 19th February between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. –
Go to Parque da Alfândega, situated in Calle Nova da Alfândega.
Arrival in Porto on Tuesday 19th February between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. –
Go to Parque dos STCP, situated in Calle da Fábrica A Ivencível.

Media
A total of 50 journalists will be reporting on the match between FC Porto and Málaga CF.  Each one is in possession of a press pass to attend this historic match for the Martiricos Club.  The journalists will include:
