Josep Clotet’s boys played one of their best matches of the season at home, playing a vertical, attacking game during the first half.  Kante made his debut, forming a partnership with Emilio Guerra, creating a powerful, dynamic display during the final part of the match.
 
The intensity of Malagueño’s game play completely unbalanced Martos, and the 0-0 draw at half-time certainly didn’t reflect the Blue and Whites’ superiority.  Martos were much more physical in the second half, upping their defence in order to maintain the 0-0 draw.  Emilio Guerra tipped the scales for the ‘Malaguistas’ in the final minutes of the match, ending with a 1-0 win.
