Josep Clotet’s boys had to work hard for this win under difficult conditions, which made playing at the usual rhythm somewhat tougher than usual. However the ‘Malaguistas’ soon adapted and took the reigns of the match.
Goals from Emilio and Samu Castillejo looked set to seal the Blue and Whites’ victory, however the home side managed to get on the score board with a controversial goal following a corner kick.
During the second half, the local side barely caused any danger for the Malagueño keeper, however the Blue and Whites were kept on their toes for the majority of the match. A goal from Óscar put an end to any doubt, with the final result a 1-3 victory for Atlético Malagueño.
