Complete match

“I think it was a fairly complete game.  We knew that in order to compete against this rival we needed to be organised and control their direct play between the two points.  We kicked off well and in the first half we continued the same level of intensity.  It’s true that in the final minutes we had the possibility of scoring another goal.  In the second half it looked as though we’d sealed our victory, but the rival scored at the last minute, which bothers me because if we had performed the same as we’d done for the previous 92 minutes we’d have achieved a better result.  However, earning the three points is positive.”

Absences for the next match

“Today’s victory will be costly with regards to injury and suspension.  The important thing is to enjoy this win after two matches without earning points.  Despite performing well in these games we didn’t reap the rewards, but today we did against a great team.”
