First training session of the week with Burgos back in the group

Málaga CF returned to training this Tuesday morning on La Rosaleda’s Annexe pitch. The positive news of the day is the gradual return to the group dynamic of Argentinean central defender, Esteban Burgos.

Following an initial physical warm-up, the Blue and Whites prioritised technical training and tactics with the ball under Pepe Mel’s orders, between 10:30 and 12:15.

Burgos gradually re-joined the group, yet Moussa was absent. The reserve team defender has a fracture to the fifth metatarsal of his right foot, sustained during the last match against Villarreal B and confirmed in an ultrasound. The player is awaiting surgery.

Luis Muñoz and Ramalho, under the supervision of physical trainer, Toni Tapia, underwent specific training on the pitch, outside the group. Juande and homegrown player, Andrés Caro focused on recovery treatment in the gym.

Goalkeeper, Carlos López; defenders, Mateo, Murillo, Arriaza and Víctor Olmo; midfielder, Dani Lorenzo; and striker, Loren were in first team training today.

Tomorrow, Wednesday at 10:30, the second session of the week will get underway at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
