Febas: “We’re going to give our all”

The Blue and White midfielder was one of the players who appeared in the press room following the match against Burgos CF: “We have to rectify this ourselves. If it depended on the fans, we’d be at the top,” he stated.

Aleix highlighted that there have been numerous matches where “points escape us due to small details. The first half was good, we focused on a practical gameplay and didn’t concede counterattacks. In the second half we didn't go wrong, but in a mismatch they caught us in a counter and that's where the match ended,” he said.

In relation to the team’s position in the standings, Febas was critical: “We’ve had a poor season and we have to rectify this ourselves. If it depended on the fans, we’d be at the top. We have to keep insisting. The biggest fault lies with the players. In summer, Manolo seemed like the best sporting director in the division. Football is about results, it’s not about the past. We need to live in the present and we’re not measuring up. 80% of the responsibility is ours.”

Despite the situation, the Malaguista midfielder wanted to send a message of optimism and energy: “We are two games away from moving out of the relegation zone, with more than 15 games remaining. It's going to be difficult, but we're going to give our all until the last day.”

A clear action on N'Diaye went unnoticed during the match. The midfielder fell inside the area and the images are revealing. Febas claimed to have seen it and, despite clarifying that the situation is the team's fault, he stressed that “refereeing decisions never go in our favour. The doubtful ones never go our way. Hopefully one day one will,” he concluded.
