Febas: “Our obligation is to give 100 percent and believe”

The Blue and White midfielder appeared in the press room after the match against SD Huesca. “We have to try our best for the fans who come to the stadium to support us,” he said.

Aleix Febas, Málaga CF midfielder, headed to the 'Juan Cortés' Press Room at La Rosaleda following the match against SD Huesca on matchday 38 of LaLiga SmartBank.

He started by stating that he was “tired and upset,” but continued with a positive message after Monday’s draw: “You leave with a bad taste, but we cannot fail now. We have to win all four games and see what the others do.”

In regard to the rival and the development of the match, he said: “Huesca are a very complicated team, different from the rivals we’ve been facing, because they leave you with the ball a little more, it makes the game a little tougher and uglier.”

The number '10' continues to believe it can be done: “Our obligation is to give 100 percent and believe. The atmosphere in the dressing room is great, we’re all moving in the same direction, even if things don't work out. And for the people, who welcome us and come to the stadium to support us. We have to try our best.”

Febas was amazed once again by the reception he experienced in the run-up to #MálagaHuesca: “Everyone would love an atmosphere like this. You can see the faces of the people from the window, it's somewhat of a responsibility. They are behind you and you have to give everything for them.” The midfielder acknowledged that “in the head, sometimes it depends on how you approach it, sometimes it's not good because it can fuel anxiety, as you want to give everything to those people who help and support you. They give us a welcome that maybe we don't even deserve. It's difficult to play in these situations.”

Finally, he referred to the penalty: “Rubén takes that responsibility that not everyone dares to do, even more so in the situation we are in. He has scored 10 goals this season, he doesn't have to prove anything. He was annoyed like everyone else, but we’re looking forward to coming back and getting things done.”
