Espinho: “I’ve worked to the max since day one”

‘Malaguista’ player, Fábio Espinho held a press conference at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium: “I’m thrilled with the minutes I’ve played,” says the Portuguese player during his debut against Deportivo.

Debut against Deportivo

“Feelings were good.  The opportunity arose for me and I tried my best to make the most of the time the coach gave me.  I’ve been looking forward to the chance to play for some time so I’m really pleased.  I’m working as hard as I can at full capacity.  I was calm when I first stepped on to the pitch and I’m thrilled with the minutes I’ve played.”

More work, more opportunities

“With hard work I’m looking to gain pace.  I felt the support and confidence from the fans and I made the most of my time on the pitch.  I’ve worked to the max since day one.  I respect the coach’s opinion and I’ll continue to work hard to wait for further opportunities.  We’re just starting LaLiga and there’s a lot of games left to go.  I believe in my possibilities and capabilities, and in order to play I need to work hard.”

Gijón on the horizon

“For me LaLiga is the best in the world, with the best players.  We’ve had some difficult matches, but now I think we’re going to move up the table.  There are many quality players on the squad.  I believe in myself and I work to the max.  It was important to win at home as these victories give us confidence.  We’re now going to Gijón, confident of a win.  We’re facing this match coming from victory, whilst the rival lost in Bilbao, so we need to make the most of the moment and go all out to claim the points.”
