Málaga CF earn a point from their visit to El Plantío (0-0)
Málaga CF drew against Burgos CF on matchday 19 of LaLiga Hypermotion. On Wednesday, CD Eldense will visit La Rosaleda.
A cold Sunday at El Plantío to host matchday 19 of LALIGA HYPERMOTION between Burgos CF and Málaga CF. Around a hundred Blue and White fans supported Pellicer's team from the stands. On the pitch, the Nules-born coach made changes compared to the last match against UD Almería. The starting line-up was: Alfonso Herrero; C. Puga, Pastor, Einar, Víctor; Antoñito C., Luismi, Ramón, D. Larrubia; Lobete, and Dioni.
The match began with rhythm and back-and-forth action in both areas. In the first minute, a great save by Alfonso Herrero stopped a powerful shot from Dani Ojeda. Pellicer's team responded three minutes later through Lobete, who, after a great individual play, saw his crossed shot miss the target.
Álex Sancris and F. Miguel had chances to give Burgos the lead, but D. Larrubia produced the most dangerous moment of the first half. The Malaguista winger found space at the edge of the box and hit the crossbar with a beautiful shot aimed for the top corner of Ander Cantero's goal.
Both Burgos and Málaga tried to take the lead, but neither side was able to find the finishing touch to break the deadlock in the first 45 minutes. At half-time, the score was 0-0 on the scoreboard at El Plantío.
After the break, the situation remained the same: both teams searching for the win.
The home team thought they had scored in the 53rd minute, but the goal was ruled offside. F. Miguel finished a set-piece play from a corner, but he was in an offside position, and the referee disallowed the goal.
Baturina and Izan Merino replaced Ramón and Dioni (62'), while Y. Rahmani came on for D. Larrubia (76').
In the 79th minute, Iñigo Córdoba tested Alfonso Herrero, who had to make a crucial save with his foot to deny the goal. Málaga CF quickly responded with a header from Baturina that went just wide.
Gabilondo and Aaron Ochoa replaced C. Puga and Antoñito C. (85') for the final stretch of the match.
From that point on, there was little action in either box, and the game ended in a 0-0 draw, leaving Málaga CF with 22 points in 14th place.
The next match in LaLiga Hypermotion will be on Wednesday at 21:15 against CD Eldense at La Rosaleda.
