Málaga CF makes another special visit to the Materno-Infantil

The club made its annual trip to the Málaga hospital during a heartfelt day led by the MCF Foundation.

Málaga Club de Fútbol carried out its traditional visit to Málaga’s Materno-Infantil Hospital, sharing a very special day with the boys and girls admitted there, especially those on the fourth floor of the hospital’s paediatric oncology unit.

Among those present were José María Muñoz, president of the MCF Foundation; the club’s general manager, Kike Pérez; first-team coach Funes; captain Alfonso Herrero; Málaga CF Femenino coach Héctor Díaz; women’s team captain Yoli Peche; and Adrián Iglesias, a player from Málaga Genuine. Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti,’ from the Foundation’s Social Department, also attended alongside other representatives of the organisation.

During the visit, the players and coaching staff went room to room, spending time with the children and their families, handing out shirts, scarves, cuddly toys and other Blue and White gifts, as well as signing autographs and taking photos with everyone who wanted to be part of the moment.

The initiative comes ahead of International Childhood Cancer Day, observed on Sunday 15th February, a date dedicated to raising awareness of the disease and supporting young patients and their families.

The affection received and the shared smiles marked the end of the visit, in a day that once again highlighted the most human side of Malaguismo.

Thank you to the Materno-Infantil Hospital for opening its doors to us once again!
