Málaga CF takes part in the ‘Partido de la Hispanidad’ in Florida
The Blue and White colours travelled to the “Sunshine State” to represent the club’s hometown in an event that symbolised unity, identity, and brotherhood among cultures.
Last Tuesday, the city of Málaga took centre stage at the Partido de la Hispanidad, a friendly held at the Weston Community Center at Regional Park in Florida. Organised with the support of Málaga City Council through the Tourism and Promotion Department, the event was conceived as more than just a football match: it was a symbol of unity, identity, and cultural fraternity.
On the pitch, Weston FC, one of the most renowned youth football clubs in the United States, faced the Selección de Málaga Hispanidad. This team, wearing the club’s home kit donated by Málaga CF, was made up of institutional representatives, sports journalists, former professionals, notable figures from Málaga, and players from Hodler Miami FC.
For the Club, it was a source of pride to act as an ambassador of Malaguismo and the city itself at an international event that strengthens the ties between sport and culture.
The ball may have rolled far from home, but the Blue and White spirit was strongly felt.
