Málaga CF sign Adam Aznou

The left-back joins on loan from Everton FC for the 2026/27 season. Aznou will join the Blue and White first team while registered with Atlético Malagueño.

The new Málaga player underwent the required medical examination and signed his contract at the La Rosaleda Stadium offices this afternoon, accompanied by sporting director Loren Juarros.

Adam Aznou Ben Cheikh was born in Barcelona on 2 June 2006 and has represented both Spain and Morocco at youth international level. He made his official senior debut for Morocco at just 18 years of age in 2024 and has since earned three caps.

At club level, Aznou came through the academies of two of Europe’s biggest clubs: FC Barcelona (2019-22) and Bayern Munich (2022-24).

He made appearances for the Bavarian club’s first team during the 2024/25 season, featuring in the Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup. During the second half of that campaign, he joined Real Valladolid CF on loan in LALIGA EA SPORTS, making 13 appearances. Then, last season (2025/26), Aznou signed for his parent club, English Premier League side Everton.

A quick and technically gifted full-back, the Spanish-Moroccan player strengthens Málaga’s defensive options on the left flank for the current season. He is the Club’s sixth signing following the arrivals of Calero, Cruz, Dotor, Salinas and Pablo Martínez. Everyone at Málaga CF welcomes Adam and wishes him the very best of luck in this new chapter.

Welcome to La Rosaleda, Adam!
