Training began at around 10:30 with Juanfran Funes addressing his players in a technical team talk. This was followed by tactical and set piece work in groups, with the ball taking centre stage, before a physical workout rounded off the session.

Away from the main group, Juan Cruz and Einar worked in the gym as part of their load management. Cajuste, Aznou, Murillo and Aaron Ochoa continued with their respective recovery programmes.

Meanwhile, Lobete successfully underwent surgery on Tuesday for an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament and lateral meniscus in his right knee.

Tomorrow, Thursday, Málaga will hold the penultimate training session of the week at 10:30.
