A Saturday night with a spectacular atmosphere in the stands (26,149 spectators), highlighted by the large number of fans who travelled from Córdoba. On the pitch, Pellicer repeated the same starting lineup from last weekend in Castellón, except on the left wing, where he brought in Joaquín instead of Lobete.

The first incident of the match, negative for the Blue and Whites’ interests, was the early injury to Juanpe. In the 10^th minute, Darko Brasanac replaced the Jerez-born midfielder at the heart of the midfield. During the opening quarter-hour, Málaga created danger especially down the right side, with an active David Larrubia.

Córdoba took their first shot on target in the 22^nd minute, with a strike from Carracedo that Alfonso Herrero saved. In the 81^st minute, as former Malaguista Kevin Medina came on to a warm ovation on his return to La Rosaleda, Pellicer made his final substitution: Dorrio replacing Rafita. Just before the 90^th minute, La Rosaleda erupted. Rafa, once again Rafa, scored another monumental goal with an incredible strike (2-1, 89’). The fifth league goal for a player in outstanding form.
