“I’ve always had a good friendship with him, we’ve been in contact and I’m thrilled he’s back with Málaga.  Today we underwent the medical tests and did a little physical work.  When the whole team is here, the coach will speak to us.”

Signings

“The Club has done a good job whilst we’ve been on holiday.  I think they’ve done well, signing young players, full of enthusiasm and excitement.  Players have been signed who have shown they can be part of Málaga.  I hope they have a great deal of luck here, and I hope the pre-season goes well for them, so they can show what they did with their previous teams.”

Individual situation

“I’m another member of the team.  Everyone here is going to fight for a place.  It’s what they tell us, and I’m just another player on the squad, working hard and waiting for an opportunity.”

Objectives

“The first thing we want to achieve is permanency, and following that, little by little, let’s see if we can accomplish other things.  We’re competing in the Spanish League and it isn’t easy.  There are a lot of new people who need to adapt.  We hope to start off well and not have to struggle at the end.”

“Having the owner here by our side is very important.  As well as the Sheikh, his entire family is here.  He’s shown that he’s with us all the way and is going to stay here for the whole pre-season.  Having the owner here with us really encourages us.”
