Directors’ lunch with Hierro and Gordillo as symbols of the good relationship between MCF and Betis

La Rosaleda stadium has hosted a lunch for members of the Málaga CF and Real Betis Balompié boards of directors, a few hours ahead of the Andalusian derby to be held at the Martiricos campus.

On behalf of MCF were the General Manager, Fernando Hierro, and the Consultant Advisor, Francisco Martín Aguilar.  The Betis representatives included the president Miguel Guillén; the consultant Antonio Jesús Sánchez Pino; and the iconic Rafa Gordillo, director of external and institutional relations.

Gordillo and Hierro, teammates at Real Madrid at heroes of Spanish football, showed their mutual respect and affection which symbolises the relationship between the Andalusian clubs.

After a tour of the interior of the stadium just before 3 pm, the committees enjoyed a lunch in a box at La Rosaleda.  Moments earlier, on behalf of the Club, Martín Aguilar, presented the Green and Whites’ directors with a plaque in the form of the Malaga Lighthouse as well as three laminated prints from the city’s Picasso Museum.
