It was a very special day today at CEIP El Torcal. The MCF Foundation’s campaign, in collaboration with Obra Social ‘la Caixa’, ‘Blue and White Values’ visited the school this Tuesday. Defenders, Diego González and Encarni generated great excitement amongst those present in the assembly hall. The players talked to the pupils about how proper nutrition, good habits and teamwork have been key to their success in elite sport.
At the end of the ‘masterclass’, both players were full of enthusiasm with the experience:
“The children are the ones who have that excitement, that magic that they convey to us. We talked to them about healthy eating and the hard work required to get to where you want to be in life”, commented Diego to MCFTV. In addition, winger Encarni also shared her impressions of the day: “This helps the children learn the values that sport transmits, which many today don’t know. It was a great pleasure coming back to a school”.
