October has been a positive month for Antonio Contreras’ girls. The Malaguistas have moved up to 10th place in the standings, scoring 10 points and losing just one match.
Liga Iberdrola is back this Sunday 18th November for Málaga CF Femenino with a match againstUD Levante Femenino. This will be the second match for Antonio Contreras’ girls in November. The 11th match of the season began with a victory for the Malaguistas after defeating Madrid CFF by 2-1 with goals from Patricia Mascaró and Adriana Martín. Including this match, the Blue and Whites completed a positive run of results which kicked off in October, a key month for Málaga CF’s women’s team.
Málaga Femenino had a start to the season in two different stages. During the first four games the team conceded 62% of goals, an average of 2.5 per game. However, from matchday 5 of the competition, the team has only conceded 6 goals. This is an average of 1.5 per game, and the girls began to score almost 2 goals a match. They obtained a run of four consecutive games beginning from the goalless draw against Valencia.
As such, from 30th September – when they faced the ‘Ché’ rival – Málaga Femenino has scored pointsinall matches until 4th November. With the exception of the match against UDG Tenerife, in which María Ruíz scored a goal, but the team lost 1-3.
