Destination Holland

The expedition will leave Málaga for Amsterdam today, Wednesday 19th July, to begin a new stage of the pre-season, which involves a quadrangular tournament and two friendlies.

The team will depart Málaga - Costa del Sol airport at 16:00, with the flight scheduled to arrive at Amsterdam – Schiphol (Holland) at 19:15. On arrival, the team will head to Hotel Bilderberg Groot Heideborgh. This will be Málaga CF’s headquarters during this stage, a four-star hotel located in the countryside, some 18 kilometres from Apeldoorn, the nearest city.

On Sunday 23rd July, Míchel’s men will face Hertha Berlín in the quadrangular ‘Schauinsland Reisen Cup’. Local side, MSV Duisburg and English outfit, Aston Villa make up the teams taking part in this competition, kicking off at 14:00. Each match will have a 45-minute duration, and the third and fourth place decider will get underway at 15:00, with the grand final at 16:00. The Schauinsland Reisen Arena in Duisburg (Germany) will host the tournament.

Three days later, Wednesday 26th July, Málaga CF will come up against AZ Alkmaar. The friendly will kick off at 19:00 at AFAS Stadion de Alkmaar (Holland). Three days on from then, the Blue and Whites will lock horns with Borussia Mönchengladbach, on Saturday 29th July at 16:00 at PCC-Stadion de Homberg – Duisburg (Germany).

Following the friendly, the Malaguistas will return home, departing the German city of Düsseldorf airport at 20:30.
