Julio César Dely Valdés leaves his role as coach of Malagueño, currently in last place in the Group IV Second Division B standings after seven league games.
Formative coach since 2016/17
In the middle of the 2016/17 campaign, Dely took the reins of the Juvenil ‘A’, winning the league championship in Group 4 of División de Honor. At the end of the season the team finished runner-up in the Spanish Copa de Campeones, losing out in stoppage time of the final against Real Madrid.
Last year (2017/18) Dely Valdés took charge of Atlético Malagueño midway through the season. The reserve team won the regular league in Third Division Group IX and, after 11 years in the category, achieved a long-awaited promotion to the bronze division of Spanish football.
