Beaten by the host team (0-1)

Málaga end the Schauinsland Reisen Cup in fourth place after losing out to MSV Duisburg. A goal from Brandstetter led to victory for the host team.

Following the match against Hertha the line-up changed completely, with 11 different players selected. After an initial stage of back and forth between both sides, Duisburg took the lead thanks to a goal from striker, Brandstetter in a pacey action (0-1, 9’).

The rival dominated a Málaga in which Cifu and Robles showed speed and enthusiasm in their movement on the wings. Also, the performance of goalkeeper Andrés Prieto, in minutes 21 and 23 should be highlighted, as he went all out to prevent another local goal.

In the final part of the game, Keko appeared. In 36’ he launched a venomous ball to En-Nesyri, who narrowly missed out on glory with a header from the small area. And in minute 41, the right-winger could have equalised with the best chance for the Blue and Whites, finishing off a great pass from Robles on the left. At the end of the 45 minutes, it was a German victory against MCF who went from less to more.

Míchel selected the following line-up for this game: Andrés Prieto; Cifu, Luis Muñoz, Mikel, Álex Robles; Keko, José Carlos, Maty, Chory; Fornals and En-Nesyri.
