Daviti plays and wins with Spain Under-17s

The homegrown defender participated in the national team’s second match in the U-17 category, against Germany, in the XLII International Tournament in the Algarve (Portugal).

David Bonilla, ‘Daviti’, a left-winger of ‘juvenil’ age from the MCF Academy, debuted in the Portuguese tournament in Spain’s second match of the competition. A goal from Raúl Moro (1-0, 12’) led La ‘Rojita’ to victory against Germany in the Portuguese municipality of Lagos.

After not having any minutes in the draw against Holland the day before yesterday, national team coach, David Gordo selected Daviti for the starting line-up in defence, playing 83 minutes, substituted by his teammate Javier López in the final stage of play.

The Malaguista defender will have another opportunity to wear the U-17 shirt the day after tomorrow, 12th February, in the clash between Spain and host team Portugal (15:00, local time).
