Dani Lorenzo: “It wasn't our best game, but the team competes”
The Malaguista midfielder spoke to the media this Tuesday after the draw with CF Intercity. “Assuming that we have things to improve and there is work to do, we knew how to react,” he commented.
Goal with hardly any celebration
“We were losing 2-1 and, when you're at that point, the only thing you're thinking about is turning it around no matter what. The least important thing is the goal, the important thing is the team.”
Valuing the point
“It was a hard-fought point. We have things to improve, but it was a difficult pitch and we have to continue.”
Bittersweet feeling
“Happy for the goal and scoring the point, but what matters to us is winning. We came here to win. We are left with the feeling that we have work to do and that we have to improve. It wasn't our best game, but the team competes. I'll stick with that. Keep working hard and insisting.”
The infirmary is emptying
“It's good that we're coming back little by little. Not only to have more players available, but also for the internal competition. The desire to compete for a position with one another is important. It's key, it's going to be important for the rest of the season.”
Things to improve
“We weren’t doing well on the second plays, they were taking possession. It hasn't been our best game in that regard. Assuming that we have things to improve and there is work to do, we knew how to react.”
Here’s to Sunday
“The Copa del Rey is there to enjoy. As in any game, we go out to compete and win. We aren’t going to give it away, we’ll do our best.”
Another goal as a Malaguista
“I saw the ball and thought I had to go on the inside. It found the net, which is the important thing. I hope there are more to come.”
Fight until the end
“One thing that characterises the team is that. We may be doing better or worse, but the team never gives up and always believes until the end. The goal showed that.”
