Dani Lorenzo: “I hope to keep building rhythm and getting back into form”

The Marbella-born midfielder spoke in the mixed zone at the Martínez Valero after #ElcheMálaga. “I’m hungry for more, I expect more from myself,” he said after returning to action following six months out.

Return

“An immense joy, with a bittersweet taste due to the defeat, as we wanted to leave a good impression and take the win from them. Personally, I’m happy. I hope to keep building sensations and match rhythm after six months since my last game. I’m hungry for more, I expect more from myself.”

Feeling like a footballer

“Yeah, it’s about that, feeling like a footballer again. This was my first long-term injury, and it shows when trying to get back into the rhythm. But this experience is going to help me for next season.”

Ready for the future

“That feeling, when you're on the outside looking in, you just can’t replicate it. I’m preparing myself for what’s coming. And what better way to close out the season than in front of our fans, hopefully I’ll get to play at home again, which is the most special thing there is.”
