D-Day debut for Andrés Prieto

Coach Míchel confirmed his presence yesterday as starting goalkeeper at Camp Nou, in what will be his LaLiga debut. Coincidentally, the former Espanyol keeper now returns to Barcelona as a Malaguista.

Andrés Prieto is one of the protagonists of this trip to Barcelona in which, as was confirmed yesterday by Míchel, he will be in the starting line-up at Camp Nou. The Alicante-born keeper was part of RCD Espanyol’s youth ranks for three seasons (2014-17), and today returns to the Ciudad Condal, this time as a Malaguista, to make his official LaLiga debut at 24 years old.

Mario Husillos is also premiering his return to the Club during his first trip as the new sports director. Vice president Nasser Al Thani is heading up the expedition, and will represent the Entity at Camp Nou.

20 players have travelled to Barcelona, with three goalkeepers in the line-up and Miguel Torres in doubt. The team will remain at hotel NH Sants until hours before kick-off, when they’ll head to the stadium. Following the match, the expedition will return to Málaga in the early hours.
