Focus on the Cup on return to training

The Blue and Whites’ players resumed training this Sunday at the Ciudad de Málaga, following last night’s match against FC Barcelona. They’ll leave for Soria tomorrow to face CD Numancia.

It was back to work this Sunday morning for the Malaguistas at the Ciudad de Málaga, with the official Copa del Rey footballs. The starting players from #BarçaMálaga underwent recovery training in the stadium’s interior galleries, whilst the rest of the squad focused on strategy work on the pitch. Homegrown players, Ian Soler, Álex Robles and Pablo Clavería were part of the first team dynamic in training today.

Meanwhile, in the gym today to continue with their recovery training were Roberto, Diego González, Fede Rica, Miguel Torres – who is suffering from discomfort to the quadriceps in his left leg – and Rolan, who sustained a muscular injury to his left hamstring pending medical tests to confirm the diagnosis. Juankar underwent preventive work today, and En-Nesyri stepped on to the pitch accompanied by fitness trainer, Hugo Camarero, as he recovers from pain to his left quadriceps.

Míchel’s men will return to work tomorrow at 10:30 at La Rosaleda, and will then head to Soria in the afternoon for their first match in the 1/16 final of the Copa del Rey against CD Numancia.
