Málaga CF Femenino defeated Valencia CF Femenino ‘B’ by 3-1 on Reto Iberdrola matchday 6. Malaguistas, Encarni, Arantxa and Adriana scored the Blue and White goals in a match in which Valencia went in front and the Malagueñas turned the result around.
The Blue and Whites were superior in terms of ball possession and dominance of play in the first half against the ‘Ché’ rival. Edna generated the first chance in minute 6 with a header that the keeper struggled to deflect. Midway through the first half, the Malaguista occasions followed. However, in 30’, a free kick led to Valencia overcoming the Malaguista defence with a goal from Llopis to take the score to 0-1. Although José Herrera’s girls had more possession in the rival area, they didn’t manage to go level before half-time.
The Blue and Whites came out far stronger in the second half. The Malaguista coach made a double substitution no sooner had play resumed, giving minutes to Encarni and Carol in substitution of Farfán and Edna respectively. The opportunities accumulated during the initial stages. Buceta made another attempt but didn’t define with precision Adriana’s free kick. The most promising chance came for Arantxa in 52’. Her shot collided with the crossbar, missing the target. It was in minute 66 when Encarni opened the scoring for the Blue and Whites. Adriana placed the ball from a corner kick for Buceta, and the Galician propelled the ball to the far post for the player from Villanueva del Rosario to head into goal (1-1). Only 10 minutes later, Málaga took a 2-1 lead thanks to Arantxa Medina, and the comeback began. The young Malagueña was attentive to the rival clearance in the area and sent the ball to the back of the net.
The Blue and Whites wanted more, and with four minutes of normal time remaining, Adriana scored the 3-1 with a play she developed, crossing an unstoppable shot for the Valencia keeper from in front of the area.
The scoreboard remained at 3-1 when the referee blew the full-time whistle, with the Malaguistas achieving the second consecutive win of the season, the first at home.
