The defender, born in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, arrived in Málaga in 1962 to compete in the First Division. He took part in 18 matches and scored one goal whilst wearing the Blue and Whites’ shirt. Following the Club’s relegation, Calixto remained with the Martiricos Club for another season, playing in 10 Second Division games, before signing to compete in Europe the following year.
