Condolences following the death of Calixto

Málaga Club de Fútbol is mourning the passing of former CD Málaga player during 1962/63 and 1963/64, Calixto Méndez Mendoza.

The defender, born in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, arrived in Málaga in 1962 to compete in the First Division.  He took part in 18 matches and scored one goal whilst wearing the Blue and Whites’ shirt.  Following the Club’s relegation, Calixto remained with the Martiricos Club for another season, playing in 10 Second Division games, before signing to compete in Europe the following year.
 
Málaga Club de Fútbol sends love and strength to the family and friends of Calixto Méndez at this sad time.
