Class of ‘Values’ with Pau and Marta

Málaga CF first team player, Pau Torres, and Women’s team player, Marta Cazalla, visited CEIP Carmen Martín Gaite in Rincón de la Victoria for the second day of Blue and White Values.

The ‘Blue and White Values’ project run by the MCF Foundation and Obra Social “la Caixa” continues. Today it was the turn of CEIP Carmen Martín Gaite in Rincón de la Victoria, with the children enjoying a very special class of camaraderie, healthy eating and the values of sport at the hands of Málaga CF players, Pau Torres and Marta Cazalla.

Representative of the MCF Foundation’s Social Department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’ was the master of ceremonies on a day during which the Málaga CF hymn was sung by the students, as well as the usual question and answer turn organised during each session of ‘Blue and White Values’.

The young Malaguistas enjoyed talking to the Málaga CF first team and Málaga CF Femenino players, who told the children about the day to day activities in the life of professional footballers, their eating habits, as well as advice and experiences they’ve learned from the world of sport.

Statements to MCFTV

Marta Cazalla

“It’s been really nice to teach the kids about sport, good nutrition and health. I’m delighted to have been part of this day”.

Pau Torres

“Today has been a different day with the little ones. It’s positive for them to see the Málaga players, their team, and to talk to them about how to take care of themselves and eat well. I believe it’s important for those of us dedicated to football and these children who are starting to look after themselves. In the end they pay attention to you as it’s what they dream of doing so I think it impacts them more if we talk to them. If the message has reached them, then I’ll leave here happy”.
