Everyone at Málaga CF is deeply saddened by the loss of the former Blue and White player during the 15/16 season, found dead due to the terrible earthquakes that recently hit Turkey.
Christian Atsu Twasam (Ghana, 1992) was a talented left-winger who belonged to Málaga Club de Fútbol in the 15/16 season. He arrived along with the late Francesc Arnau during the winter transfer window, on loan from English side, Bournemouth in January 2016.
During his short career at the Club, he scored two goals in 12 LaLiga games in the First Division. Interestingly, he scored in his debut against Getafe CF at La Rosaleda (3-0) on matchday 23, and in his last game as a Malaguista, on matchday 38, the last match of the competition, also at La Rosaleda against UD Las Palmas (4-1).
Up until he passed away Atsu was part of Hatayspor in the Turkish Süper Lig. At just 31 years old, he left us too soon, a victim of the earthquakes that have devastated Turkey and shocked the entire world.
