Chavarría: “I want to help the team when it’s my turn”

The Argentinean forward, who returned to the pitch for #RealOviedoMálaga after 243 days, spoke to MCFTV in the mixed zone. “We deserved to win in the second half with the two balls that hit the post,” he said.

Pablo Chavarría appeared in the mixed zone at the Carlos Tartiere following #RealOviedoMálaga on matchday 13 of LaLiga SmartBank.

The Argentine striker, who was back in action after 243 days, talks about his return to the team: “I was away for a long time and I’m so happy to be back. It takes a lot of hard work, I went through very tough times and now I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.” He wants “to keep moving forward and help the team in the minutes that I play.”

In regard to the match analysis, Chavarría comments: “The team’s first half wasn’t good overall. We improved in the second half and deserved to win with the two balls that hit the post. That’s football, they scored at the last minute and we leave with nothing.” He added that the team is “sad not to have won.”

Finally, the Argentinean player says we have to wipe the slate clean now in a week featuring three matches: “We need to think about the next game on Thursday, rest, recover and be prepared,” he concluded.
