Malaguista striker, Charles Dias de Oliveira held a press conference at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium: “We’re looking to the match against Athletic like a final.”
Next match
“We’ve got a good amount of points, but everything can change within two weeks. We’re looking to the next match, as we do all matches, like a final. A lot is at stake so we’re going to try our best to reduce the points distance from rivals above us, andI hope we’ll be in the running until the end.”
Athletic, big rival
“They are a large squad. Athletic are a strong team in all aspects, I think they’re one of the teams that runs the most in LaLiga and we’re going to have an extremely difficult game. They are amongst the best teams in Spain, so we’ll need to approach this match in the same way we do against all the greats.”
Maximum intensity
“I enjoy intense matches, where you don’t stop running and every ball is dangerous. We’re playing at home in front of our fans, where we’re performing very well, so we need to continue along this line. We need to give 300 per cent on Sunday, if not Athletic will come here and win.”
Number of goals
“I have my objectives. During my first year with Celta I scored 12 goals and I want to beat this record. The team is performing well, so I hope we can exceed the current level. I tried my best to work hard since my arrival, not just here, but with all my teams. I aim to be at 100 per cent in training and play at the same level. I’m never going to stop running and will always give my all, then the coach can decide who plays and who doesn’t.
