Charles: “The team is giving everything and playing well”
The Málaga CF striker affirms he’s “excited about the season. I hope to perform well to make sure the team is as high up as possible”.
Turning the page
“We need to forget about the match against Villarreal and stay focused on the positives. We stood up to a great team and matched them in gameplay at a very difficult ground. That’s the path we need to follow”.
Good line of play
“We must concentrate on Monday’s match, which will be tough at home. It’s important that we continue on the line we’re on, but secure a win. I hope we can bring an end to the poor run of results”.
Overcoming injury
“They were four very hard months for me, being a bit out of everything. For a football player who always likes to train, run and be on the pitch, not being able to is incredibly tough. That’s now passed and I’m excited about the season. I hope to perform well to make sure the team is as high up as possible”.
Helping the team
“It’s tricky. I’ve been out of action for four or five months. This injury stopped me in my tracks, but the good thing is that I’m back and stronger than ever. I need to forget about the injury now and focus on being on top form to help the team”.
Good gameplay
“The team is giving everything and playing well. I hope on Monday we can end this bad streak”.
No pressure
“We are fairly experienced, veteran players so shouldn’t feel pressure. The only pressure that exists is to play well and win games; not look down or feel fear. Everyone knows that we ended last season well, and this year, I have no doubt that the team will also end well”.
#MálagaLasPalmas
“We’re going to try and do everything we’ve been doing in all our matches. Las Palmas like to dominate the ball, so we cannot let them impose their style of play. Therefore, we’ll try our best to pressure them, as we have done in all our games. In the final match of last season against Las Palmas we played well and won. I hope we can do the same on Monday”.
