Celia Ruano’s goal at Málaga’s service

The forward from the Canary Islands joins the 18/19 Blue and Whites’ project in Liga Iberdrola. She arrives from CD Femarguín, where she was proclaimed ‘pichichi’ of the Second Division with 77 goals.

Celia Ruano Trujillo (02/08/1994, Arguineguín - Las Palmas) is, from today, a member of Málaga CF Femenino. The striker is a true predator of the goal area. Last season she netted 77 goals to become the highest scorer out of the seven groups in the Women’s Second Division.

This will be Celia’s first adventure outside of the Canary Islands. She began her footballing career in the 10/11 season, at 16 years of age, with her hometown club, CD Femarguín. Five seasons later, she moved to San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Tenerife) to join the UD Tacuense discipline. After two campaigns, Celia returned to CD Femarguín where she took part in the Liga Iberdrola promotion playoffs, crossing with Málaga CF Femenino who moved up to the elite.
