Castillejo and Pedro take Málaga to the semi-finals of the ‘Copa juvenil’
Málaga CF defeated Valencia CF in the first leg match by 3-0, to secure a place in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey juvenil. The División de Honor juvenil team won by 3-0, with goals from Samu Castillejo and Pedro, the latter scoring two goals.
During the first 20 minutes of the match, both teams put on a strong display, however, neither team created much danger in the penalty areas. Málaga began to slowly dominate the game, whilst Valencia became more limited on the attack. Throughout the second half, the Blue and Whites’ goals allowed them to completely control the game, despite both sides ending up a man down. The match ended in a great victory for Málaga against a Valencia side who really gave it their all on the pitch.
This result sees a difficult second leg match for Málaga, against one of the toughest rivals in their category. The RFEF will announce the line-up for the semi-finals next Tuesday.
