Casado: “We’re not looking for a draw in Vigo, we’re determined to win”

Málaga Club de Fútbol’s José Manuel Casado held a press conference following this morning’s training session at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium. The player talked about the team and Friday’s match against Celta de Vigo.

With Antunes suspended from this match, Casado talks about his chance to make the starting-11 in Vigo: “Since the very first day I returned to training, I began to feel more and more like a footballer.  It’s not definite yet whether I’ll be playing on Friday.  Today the coach tried out Eliseu and myself, but I’m working on being as prepared as I can be in order to perform at my absolute best.  Each day I feel better in training, but I need to play more matches in order to regain rhythm.  If the manager selects me for the starting-11, then I’ll make the most of my opportunity.”

The left-back hopes the team will put on another strong performance this week: “We’ve been playing well in recent matches, putting more pressure on rivals upfront and playing a better game.  Celta are a good side under Luis Enrique, they move well on the attack and always play an entertaining game.  I hope we’ll use our strengths in order to dominate play, as even though Friday’s game isn’t like a final, it’s certainly a very important one.  We took a lot of positive things from the match against Madrid and have definitely improved.  We’re not looking for a draw in Vigo, we’re determined to win.”
