Ignacio Camacho returned to the starting-11 tonight following his groin injury, and held a press conference in the mixed zone at Mestalla.
“I feel good, a little tired, but after so much time out, the sensations are good,” comments Camacho with regards to his reincorporation into the group following injury.
He went on to analyse tonight’s defeat by Valencia CF: “We played two very different halves, and the team was better in the second half. We lacked that last pass, and that shot at goal, which at the end of the day is the most important.”
As well as the midfielder, Weligton also took part in the post-match press conference: “Certain mistakes we made cost us dearly, but the team fought until the end and we tried our best. It hasn’t been a good day.”
“We must learn from these mistakes so they don’t reoccur in the next match,” says the captain.
Lastly, reserve team player, Pablo Fornals also spoke to the media: “Camacho is a great player. When you play alongside him, you feel more liberated, he gives you a lot of security,” says Pablo on the return of the ‘Malaguista’ number ‘6’.
“The rival scored early on, and as we tried to pick ourselves up they scored a second goal. We then had the misfortune in the penalty, it was as though the ball just didn’t want to go in,” explains the young player following tonight’s defeat.
