Calvo, three out of three with Spain’s U-19s

The MCF Academy winger ended his successful participation with the U-19 national team yesterday in the Elite Round qualifiers for the European Championship in the category.

Álex Calvo, licensed to Juvenil ‘A’, who this season has played with Atlético Malagueño and Málaga CF, has accumulated a total of four international fixtures with Spain’s U-19s.

Following his debut and goal last month with José Lana’s team, the Córdoba born player has taken part in Spain’s three qualifiers ahead of the U-19 European Championship.

The Malaguista player, always coming off the bench, played 4 minutes in the second half of the Denmark-Spain (0-0) clash held in Almendralejo last week; 45' in the resounding 4-0 win for Spain against Luxembourg in Villanueva de la Serena last Saturday; and 11 minutes in the Spain-Ukraine match, also in Villanueva de la Serena, with the 4-0 win yesterday leading to qualification for the European Championship taking place in July (1-16) in Malta.

A total of 60 minutes in three matches for Álex Calvo who travelled back from Madrid to Málaga this Wednesday. Congratulations, Alex!
