Debut and a goal for Calvo with the U-19s

The Blue and White Juvenil ‘A’ player was in action today with Spain’s Under-19s in a friendly against Norway. He made his debut wearing the national team jersey and scored the third goal in Spain’s 3-0 win.

After joining coach José Lana's team the day before yesterday, Álex Calvo could not have enjoyed a better debut with the Spanish Under-19 team. Spain, after defeating Norway by 3-0 last Tuesday, repeated the score at the same location and against the same rival this morning at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas (Madrid).

The Malaguista winger was in the starting line-up, wearing the number ‘20’ shirt, alternating between the right and left wing of the attack, completing the 90 minutes of play against the Norwegians. César Palacios in 44', and Domi in 48', scored the first two Spain goals.

Calvo’s big moment came in the 71st minute of play, with a superb left-footer into the net to secure the final 3-0 result on the scoreboard. Stunning goal.

A preparatory match for the upcoming Under-19 fixtures with a view to participating in the category's European championship. The MCF Academy took centre stage thanks to the goal by our Córdoba-born homegrown player. Congratulations, Alex!
