Blue and Whites’ central defender, Bakary Koné has been called-up by his home country of Burkina Faso to take part in a friendly and a 2017 Africa Cup qualifier.
Koné has been a regular fixture with the Burkina Faso team in recent years, finishing runners-up in the 2013 Africa Cup.
The Malaguista defender has been selected for the match between Burkina Faso and Botswana, a qualifier for the Africa Cup of Nations, taking place next year in Gabon. The match will be held at the Stade du 4 Août in Ouagadougou on Sunday 4th September.
On Tuesday 6th September, at the same stadium in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, an international friendly between Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast will take place.
