The Blue and White forward spoke to the Club media following his first full match against Rayo Vallecano: “The feelings are good”.
Good performance in Vallecas
“After such a long time without playing so many minutes, and awaiting this opportunity, the feelings are good. Particularly seeing me at this fitness level and able to play 90 minutes at a good pace. The match was tough going, we ran a lot and the entire team did very well”.
Difficult match against Rayo
“Rayo had a great deal of possession so we knew we’d have to tighten up so much which would make us uncomfortable. This tired us out quite a bit and for a forward it’s a difficult game as you run almost more in defence than attack. The team needed that. I tried to do what the coach asked of me and help the team as much as I could”.
The standings are close
“The results of the teams below are getting tighter, beforehand it looked as though it was tough for them to win, yet now they’re getting the three points to make the table a lot closer. Sunday’s match against Albacete is very important for us as we have a chance to take three points from the rival. We’re playing for our lives”.
Good personal feelings
“Since we returned from lockdown, I feel better again, I’m in better physical shape and each time I’m doing more. If LaLiga got a little longer, it would be even better. I’m available to the coach whenever he wants. I’m going to do my best and little by little contribute more to the team”.
