Brilliant Second Division debut from women’s reserve team
The Blue and Whites defeated CP San Miguel de Plasencia by 6-0 in the season opener.
Málaga CF Femenino Filial couldn’t have had a better start to the season. After winning the league and qualifying to compete in Group IV of the Women’s Second Division, Ayala’s team debuted in the category with a massive 6-0 win against CP San Miguel.
The Blue and Whites stepped on to the pitch with a starting-11 made up of: Lucía, María Mira, Celia, Olmedo, Salma, Naiara, Andrea, Noelia, Marina, Lorena and Nora.
Málaga debuted at the Carlinda ground in front of their fans, opening the scoring in minute 38 with a goal from Celia. In the second half, the girls continued to increase their lead with a goal from Noelia in 51’. Arantxa joined play and scored in 55’, and just five minutes later Nora scored the 4-0. Lorena made it 5-0 in the 67th minute and the match ended with a goal from Arantxa in 85’ to make the definitive 6-0 result on the scoreboard.
The reserve team follows in the footsteps of the women’s first team, who last season defeated San Miguel by 8-0 on matchday 5.
Málaga Femenino Filial will continue the competition next Sunday against UD Extremadura.
