Brezancic and Werner: “We’re here to contribute and compete”

Rajko Brezancic and Axel Werner have been presented as new Blue and White players. Both are happy to be part of Málaga CF and affirm their aspirations are “to the maximum”.

Axel Werner

Choice

“I chose Málaga for a number of reasons. Firstly because of the size of the Club, and secondly because it’s in a great situation, with important objectives, and then due to a personal inclination, of remaining in Spain, I opted to take on a new challenge which I’m incredibly motivated and enthusiastic about”.

Competition

“You can tell there’s great competition within the group which is reflected in the position of the team and the current situation. We’re here to increase that competition and get the best 11, week after week”.

Expectations

“Expectations are high. We’ve arrived at a club that has aspirations to improve both in the standings and in terms of performance; that is something that is always sought. We’ve come to a club in an optimal position. Aspirations are at their highest”.

Position

“We’re extremely ambitious. Training session after training session we’ll earn our place. Beyond what can be said, we’re here to claim a place on the squad and achieve as much weight in the team as possible”.

Rajko Brezancic

Experience in #LaLiga123

“There are many matches in LaLiga. I went up with Huesca and you just need to look ahead, win at home and take each match at a time”.

Help

“It’s a big club which I have a great deal of affection for. I want to work hard and help my teammates and the city get to the First Division”.

Work

“I haven’t had a lot of time to talk with the coach, but I’ve come to a great club and will work as hard as possible”.

The Club’s sports director, José Luis Pérez Caminero, also talked about the new Blue and White signings: “Werner is a goalkeeper who has very good qualities and has come here to compete for a place on the team; here the competition for a place is day to day. Rajko will compete with Ricca, who gained great experience with Huesca. We wanted to increase the competitiveness and both players have the possibility of being in the starting line-up as much as any other player. We’re very happy with all the new arrivals”, he said.
