Blue and Whites’ Values reach María Zambrano school

Málaga CF, via its Foundation, emphasised the importance of sporting values to the primary school children, on International Women’s Day.

First team player, Fernando Tissone; Atlético Málaga’s Pamela; and Sebastián Fernández Reyes, ‘Basti’ from the MCF Foundation’s Social Department, headed up the Blue and Whites’ Values campaign at María Zambrano school, located on the street of the same name.

Rubén Castillo, MCF La Academia coach hosted the event, where the young children asked both players a number of questions, with some students focusing special attention on Pamela, as International Women’s Day is celebrated today, 8th March.

Tissone, who spent a great deal of time with the children during the event, told MCFTV that “meeting school children who are excited to see you is always important.  They base a lot of their actions on things we do, so we must be conscious of this and act in the correct way.”

Later on, Pamela explained that “it’s always wonderful to take part in such events, particularly on such an important day like today.  It’s great to have the possibility of motivating the girls to play football, which is gradually achieving equality.”

Following the question and answer session, the school was presented with a commemorative poster to mark the visit, signed by both players.  The director of the school also highlighted the importance of today’s event as this campaign “reinforces the values we’re teaching at our school.”
