Back to training at the Annexe

Málaga CF returned to work this Tuesday morning at La Rosaleda’s facilities. After a day off yesterday, the lads were back at it today with a two-hour first session of the week.

Antigen tests, technical talk and video analysis inside the stadium, plus physical training and technical work with the ball at La Rosaleda’s Annexe, completed this morning’s session.

A total of 18 players plus goalkeepers Dani Barrio, Dani Martín and reserve team keeper, Dani Strindholm were in training today. Hicham was in action with the group, along with regular fixtures Roberto, Kevin and Ismael Gutiérrez.

In addition, seven players underwent more specific training than the others, under the instruction of physical trainer, Toni Tapia: Chavarría and Juande, at a good pace as they finalise their respective recoveries; Escassi and Paulino, both physically fit; and homegrown players Andrés Caro, Benítez and Dani Lorenzo, the latter two who were in the Malagueño starting line-up the day before yesterday against Marbella.

Luis Muñoz and Genaro – the Sevilla-born player has returned after nearly three weeks in Madrid – trained in the gym this morning. The number ‘8’ also stepped on to the pitch to carry out specific training.

Tomorrow, Wednesday from 10:30, the team’s second session of the week will kick-off at La Rosaleda Stadium’s facilities.
