Ayala: “The team is excited and only focused on winning”

Coach of Málaga CF Femenino’s reserve team, José Antonio Martínez ‘Ayala’ speaks to MCF’s media about the final that could lead the Malaguista squad to the Second Division.

Málaga CF Femenino Filial has one match left, a final against Cádiz CF at Estadio Municipal de Paradas (Sevilla). From 20:00 on Sunday 24th June, the women’s reserve team has 90 minutes to earn a passport to compete in Group IV of the Women’s Second Division, filling the place left by the women’s first team since their promotion to Liga Iberdrola. The winner of this game will claim a pass to the silver division.

The Malaguista reserve team has reached the final of the Second Division promotion playoffs after defeating Arenas de Armillas de Granada and Real Betis Féminas ‘B’. For their part, Cádiz CF reached this last match after first beating Atlético Jiennense and then Monachil 2013 in the semi-finals.

Statements by Ayala

The rival

“Cádiz is a hard-working team, very forceful and strong. They are quality and are fighting for the same objective as we are. As such, we’re not going to put the brakes on in this game. In these playoffs they’ve won 0-10, but, for us, defeating Betis gave us a lot of motivation”.

One sole objective: winning

“We’re only missing the fireplace to say that we have a luxury home. The team is excited and cannot wait for Sunday. We are only focused on winning”.
