Academy goalkeeper, Álvaro Fernández played his third Under-17s World Cup India match, securing a comfortable win against North Korea.
Santi Denia’s U-17 squad faced their last match today in the first stage of Group D of the World Cup competition of this category. Spain defeated North Korea (2-0) with goals from Moha (4’) and César Gelabert (71’).
Blue and Whites’ Juvenil goalkeeper, Álvaro Fernández, as in the previous two games, was part of the starting line-up and competed for the 90 minutes of play. The second consecutive win without conceding a goal for the promising Madrid-born goalkeeper.
Spain, now qualified to the last-16 of the tournament – second place in the group with 6 points, behind leaders, Brazil with 9 – will be seeking a place in the quarter finals on Tuesday 17th(13:30, Spanish time, GOL), against Group E winners, predictably France.
