Angeleri: “We are aware of the fact that FC Barcelona have improved a great deal”
Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Marcos Angeleri held a press conference this morning following training at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium to analyse the team.
Angeleri begins by talking about Saturday’s difficult rival at the Nou Camp: “We know how tough this opponent is and how hard they will make things for us, but we’ll focus on the job we have to do. We’ve all seen FC Barcelona’s game play, and they’re not the same team they were at the beginning of the season. We are aware of the fact that they’ve improved a great deal.”
Despite last Saturday’s defeat, the ‘Malaguista’ defender praises the team’s work: “We are confident in what we’re doing, above and beyond the results we’ve achieved recently. It’s important to be objective, as the team is functioning well.”
The Argentine defender discusses his role in the team: “I understand the situation. We are a 25-strong squad and the coach needs to make the right decisions for the team. I will always support the team and await my opportunity to play. I’m feeling fit now, and the hard work and sacrifice I’ve made, which sometimes you don’t see, is bearing fruit. I will make the most of my chances to earn my place on the team and gain confidence, which is very important for a player.”
Lastly, Angeleri clarifies a non-sporting situation that arose in the press last week: “Everything has been sorted out, although I had nothing to do with it. The Club did the same and all has been resolved. I am grateful to the Club for their support.”
