An impressive Atlético Malagueño side defeats Marbella (1-2)

Atlético Malagueño defeated Marbella by 1-2, with Josep Clotet’s team dominating the match and creating the most goal opportunities.

The Málaga side soon adapted to the uneven pitch, avoiding lengthy ball possession.  With rapid transitions, the Blue and Whites took control of the match, with Samu putting the ‘Malaguistas’ on the score board first, with a goal just before the half time whistle.

Despite the state of the pitch, Atlético Malagueño knew it was just a question of patience to seal their victory.  With five minutes left until full time, Emilio put the visitors in the lead by 0-2.  However in extra time, Álex scored for Marbella, though it wasn’t enough to prevent the Blue and Whites’ victory.
