Amrabat couldn’t stop a Morocco defeat by Uruguay (0-1)

The Málaga CF player was in the starting-11 and had a standout performance with Morocco, but didn’t manage to convert two clear chances against the Uruguay keeper, with the rival going on to win by 0-1 at the Agadir Stadium (Morocco).

Nordin Amrabat played for 75 minutes in this friendly against Uruguay at Agadir Stadium, and came up against other players from the Spanish League, such as Atlético’s Giménez and Godín, and Stuani from Espanyol.

The Blue and Whites’ player generated two good chances to open the scoring, but luck wasn’t on his side.  The first was in the 27th minute in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but the cross went too far past Muslera.  The second opportunity, the best chance for Morocco to get on the scoreboard, was in minute 44, but the ball collided with the post.

Uruguay took the lead and scored the only goal of the match with a penalty in minute 51 by Cavani.
